Cast PE Film

One Cast PE process. Two engineered surfaces — breathable when the skin needs to breathe, non-breathable when the absorbent core does the work.

Cast PE Film
What it is

Cast polyethylene film in two variants — microporous Breathable (WVTR 2,000-5,000) and non-porous Non-Breathable soft-touch — for diapers, sanitary napkins, adult incontinence and medical disposables.

Cast PE Film is our cast polyethylene line — one extrusion process, two engineered surfaces.

Breathable variant

The film's structure is interrupted by approximately 1.4 billion pores per cm², each measuring 0.1 to 10 microns. Each pore is roughly a thousand times larger than a water vapor molecule, but a thousand times smaller than a water droplet. Vapor and air get through — skin can breathe. Liquid stays in — leaks don't happen. The result is a backsheet that feels cool and dry against the skin, even after hours of wear.

Non-Breathable variant

Sometimes the right backsheet is one that simply doesn't let anything through — vapor, air or liquid. Our Non-Breathable variant is exactly that, engineered with a soft, cloth-like chill-roll texture so it doesn't read as "plasticky" against the skin. Non-porous structure means full liquid and vapor barrier — at a cost that economy SKUs can build around.

When to pick which

Breathable for premium, long-wear products where skin comfort matters most. Non-Breathable when the absorbent core retains moisture, when price is the priority, or when the product is single-use and short-duration. Most converters specify both across their portfolio.

Why Rhyfeel

A specialist, not a one-stop shop.

We make Cast PE film for a living. That's our entire factory floor — not a side line. The result is the kind of micron-level discipline only a focused supplier can deliver.

  • W&H MIRAFLEX II — prints on 12 gsm at 500 m/min, which most lines in India can't.
  • Closed-loop scrap recovery — extrusion trim re-enters the melt feed.
  • 2,000 m² 3-micron clean shed — your end-customer's audit won't fail on dust.
  • Direct sales worldwide — you talk to the team that made the film.
Buyer questions

What people ask before they sample.

Breathable for premium, long-wear products where skin comfort and moisture vapor release are critical (premium baby diapers, sanitary napkins, adult pull-ups). Non-Breathable when the absorbent core is engineered to retain moisture, when the price point is the priority, or when the product is single-use short-duration (economy diapers, hospital under-pads, outer wraps).

Cast PE uses a chilled-roll process that yields tighter thickness control, a softer hand and better print fidelity than blown PE. For premium diaper and napkin backsheets, cast is the norm.

Most baby-diaper backsheets sit at 3,000-4,000 g/m²/24 hr. Adult incontinence runs lower (2,500-3,500). We help narrow the target during sampling.

Inherent. Our resin recipe and chill-roll texturing yield a haptic similar to a cotton non-woven, without any topical coating.

We start at single-pallet trial quantities for sampling and scale to multi-truck monthly contracts for production. Get in touch for specifics.

Yes — both variants accept up to 8 colors at 500 m/min on our W&H MIRAFLEX II. We pre-corona inline and verify register down to 12-gsm substrate.

Mono-material PE is included in the recyclable category under India's Plastic Waste Management Rules. Recovery rate depends on the collection system in your geography.

Yes — we export to the Middle East, Africa, South-East Asia and Europe. Incoterms negotiated per geography.
